Chilean Line is considering calling at the port of Hampton Roads as part of a planned biweekly service between the east coasts of the United States and South America. The line, known as Compania Sud Americana de Vapores, also is considering Baltimore as its Mid-Atlantic stop. It also will probably stop at New York and one or two other ports south of Hampton Roads. In South America, the ships will call ports in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. An official announcement of the service is expected in early February. by CNB
