Several weeks ago we wrote to our legislators asking them to oppose riverboat gambling. We have begun to receive their replies.
One of these replies caught our eye. Not only could we not determine from the letter whether the legislator was opposed or for riverboat gambling, but in the trip to Richmond and back, ``riverboat gambling'' became ``riverboat gaming.''
How much nicer ``riverboat gaming'' sounds than ``riverboat gambling.'' It is like ``pro-choice'' sounding so much better than ``pro-abortion.''
How much do you want to bet that this particular legislator votes for riverboat gambling?
