David Lister Jennette Sr., 58, of 304 Hofler Ave. died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995, at his home. Mr. Jennette was a native of Elizabeth City, NC, the president and General Manager of Timberlands Unlimited, Inc. He received his masters in forestry at Duke University in 1957. Mr. Jennette retired from the North Carolina National Guard as a Brigadier General with 32 years of service. He was a past Commissioner of the Coastal Resources Commission.
A graveside memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, in Edgewood Cemetery with full military rites.
Survivors include: Wife: Annie Lawrie Gard Jennette, Windsor, N.C.; Daughter: Lawrie Jennette Parker, Wilmington, N.C.; Son: David Lister Jennette, Jr., Windsor, N.C.; Mother: Lina Belle Jennette, Elizabeth City, N.C.; Brother: William Shaw Jennette, Jr., Arlington, VA.; Grandchildren: Two (2).
The family will receive friends at 304 Hofler Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Windsor Fire Department, the Bertie County Rescue Squad or to the American Heart Fund. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge of arrangements.
