Adrian Ormond ``Andy'' Gross, 75, of the 5400 block of Birdhaven Court, a retired chief shipfitter, died Jan. 26, 1995.
Mr. Gross was born in Centralia, Fla. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and from civil service at Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 21 years. He served in the Korean War and World War II in both European and Asiatic theatres and was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Occupation Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Defense Service Medal. He was a Boy Scout leader and the widower of Jan M. Gross.
Survivors include a daughter, Gayle M. Johnson of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Virgil Gross of Florida; and two grandchildren, Jennifer L. George and Justin P. George of Richmond, Va.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Father William Dale. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
