Genevive N. Russell, 76, of the 4100 block of Bonney Road, a retired salesperson, died Feb. 1, 1995, in Hillhaven Holmes Health Care.
Mrs. Russell was born in Basic, Va. She retired from Rices-Nachman's department store after 35 years, was a Presbyterian and the widow of Thomas Edward Russell.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Hudgins of Lynchburg, Va., and Faith Arghyris of Virginia Beach; a son, Dean Russell of Virginia Beach; a brother, Marvin Norman of Waynesboro, Va.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Bonney Road Chapel, Kellum Funeral Home, by the Rev. Rob Pittman III. Burial will be private at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. The family will receive friends following the services at the home of the daughter, Faith Arghyris, 4741 Woods Edge Road, Virginia Beach.
