Leonard L. ``Lee'' Marshall, 60, of the 24000 block of Johnson Ave., died Feb. 1, 1995, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
Mr. Marshall was born in Paden, Okla. He was a Virginia state trooper from 1955 to 1967. He was the director of security for Gwaltney, Inc., Smithfield, from 1967 to 1977. He was a sergeant with the Virginia Department of Corrections from 1977 until 1991 when he had to retire on a medical disability. He was a graduate of the Virginia State Police Academy, Class of 1956, and a member of the Virginia State Police Alumni Association. He was a Navy veteran of Korea and a member of Windsor Christian Church, Windsor.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Litchfield Marshall; a son, Lee Marshall Jr. of Windsor; a sister, Sybble M. McCready of Andrews, Texas; two brothers, Olen B. Marshall of Victorville, Calif., and Ralph D. Marshall of Moore, Okla.; and one grandson, Michael P. Marshall. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Eary Marshall and Ollie V. Marshall and two brothers, Howard V. Marshall and Eugene T. Marshall.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Basil L. Ballard. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 5349 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
