VERNON H. KOOSER

Major Vernon H. Kooser U.S.A.F. Ret., 61, of the 2400 block of Haversham Close, a retired financial consultant, died January 31, 1995, in his home.

Major Kooser was a native of Akron, Ohio. He was a member of Frances Asbury United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach. Major Kooser was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Major Kooser was a retired district manager for U S P A and I R A.

Survivors include his wife, Joanie M. Kooser of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a daughter, Cynthia R. Forte of Destin, Fla.; 3 sons, Vernon H. Kooser II of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Anthony E. Kooser of Virginia Beach, Christopher L. Kooser of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; 3 stepdaughters, Tracy Manscill of Utah, Tammy Byrd of Fla., Terrlyn Johnston of Fla.; 1 grandchild, Kaleigh C. Kooser and 6 step-grandchildren.

A chapel service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday February 3, 1995, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel by Rev. Joseph E. French. Burial will be at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery Virginia Beach with military honors.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The family requests flowers and or memorial donations to the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel is handling arrangements.
