Blake Malison Guthrie Sr., 78, died in a Washington, N.C., hospital on January 31, 1995. He is the widower of Molly McGowan Guthrie.
He is survived by five children: daughters, Janelle Mooney of Swan Quarter, N.C., and Sheila Clark of Grimesland, N.C.; sons, Blake M. Guthrie, Jr., of Greenville, N.C., Edward E. Guthrie of Belhaven, N.C., and William Guthrie of Scotland Neck, N.C. He is also survived by one sister and two brothers: Emma G. Pryor of Eure, N.C., Russell Guthrie of Portsmouth, Va., and James E. Guthrie of Eure, N.C.
Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven, N.C., is handling the arrangements. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 1995. Burial will be at Rider Hill Cemetery, Belhaven, N.C., on Friday, February 3, 1995, at 2:00 p.m.
