Joyce W. Gibson, 66, of the 1200 block of Davis Ave., beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Jan. 31, 1995 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Princeton, W.Va., and resided most of her life in the Tidewater area. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Gibson; three daughters, Anita Weaver of Virginia Beach, Janie Grosel of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Cathy McDonald of Norfolk; two sisters; three brothers; and five grandchildren, Stephanie Lee and Greg Lee, both of Virginia Beach, Kelly and Keith McDonald, both of Norfolk, and Stephanie Austin of Chesapeake; and one great-granddaughter, Ashlee Austin of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
