LEWIS R. ``DICK'' WHITE

Lewis Rights ``Dick'' White, 82, of 119 Causey Ave., died February 2, 1995.

A native of Mayodan, N.C., he was the son of the late Carlton Emory and Irma Paff White. Mr. White was a 1935 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and was a teacher and coach at Suffolk High School from 1942-1974. He was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and Suffolk Elks Lodge (NU)685.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Parker White; a daughter, Alice W. Trainer of Hickory, N.C.; two sons, Lewis R. White of Virginia Beach, Herbert F. White of Roanoke; a stepdaughter, Anne N. Click of Richmond; a stepson, Frederick P. Norfleet of Bethesda, Md.; seven grandchildren and one step grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at noon at the graveside in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. E.E. Jones. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home Friday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
