MRS. ETHEL ALEXANDER BARRETT

Mrs. Ethel Alexander Barrett, a resident of Sherwood Manor in Wilmington, N.C., died at her residence, Wednesday, February 1, 1995.

She was born in Portsmouth on March 22, 1900, the daughter of the late Harry Alexander and Martha Dunford Alexander. She was the widow of Russell S. Barrett. Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Norfolk, Virginia.

Surviving is her son, Russell Syer Barrett, III and his wife Norma of Goldsboro, N.C.: her daughter, Mrs. Martha Ellen Corbett and her husband Richard of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Nicholson of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Norman Alexander Barrett of Rocky Mount, Richard Alexander Corbett of Wilmington, DE; great grandchildren, Kristine Corbett, James Corbett, and Andrew Corbett, all of Wilmington, DE.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 4, 1995 in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Portsmouth, by The Rev. Ross M. Wright.

Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel is handling arrangements.
