James Lloyd Worley, 62, of the 4900 block of Lauderdale Ave., a retired lieutenant commander, died Feb. 1, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
He was born in Ravenscroft, Tenn. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 1/2 years and was the retired self-employed owner of The Cozy Inn. He was a Protestant and a member of Bayside Masonic Lodge (NU)218 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Merle Worley; two daughters, Lisa Worley of Virginia Beach and Karen Adams of Arkansas; two sons, James Worley of New York and Brian Worley of Virginia Beach; a sister, Helen Rose of Kentucky; four brothers, Robert Worley and Curtis Worley, both of Florida, William Worley of West Virginia and Larry Worley of Indiana; and four grandchildren, Timothy and Jamie Adams and Ashley and Brooke Worley.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Tim Farabaugh. Entombment will take place in Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at the residence following the funeral service.
