CLYDE L. COLLINS

Clyde Leon ``Tom'' Collins, 67, of the 2100 block of Ardmore Avenue died Wednesday in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mr. Collins was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, and was the son of the late Ray and Jerl Stump Collins. He had retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Boatswain's Mate after 25 years service and from the U.S. Postal Service after 15 years service. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 795, and the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 40.

Survivors include his wife, Marylin Rita Collins of Chesapeake; three daughters, Cheryl Selby of Chesapeake, Debra McCarty of Portsmouth, and Rita Underwood of Chesapeake; two sons, Thomas Patrick Collins and Daniel James Collins, both of Chesapeake; one sister, Jerry Kelly of Morgantown, WV; one brother, Charles Ray Collins of Pliny, WV; and eight grandchildren.

A funeral service with Military Honors will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at the residence afterward. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
