ALMA V. TAYLOR

Alma Virginia Taylor, 78, of the 600 block of Mt. Vernon Ave., died Feb. 2, 1995, in her residence.

She was a native of Portsmouth, a member of Lee Memorial Baptist Church, Chesapeake, the widow of Jennings E. Taylor and daughter of the late William Richard Hines and Margit Erksen Hines.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Taylor Bailey of Portsmouth; two sisters, Margaret Dew of Federalsburg, Md., and Mary H. Lee of Portsmouth; and a grandson, Michael Bailey and his wife Sheryl.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Olive Branch Cemetery by Dr. Ray O. Jones. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
