A woman who was found shot in the 800 block of Johnson Ave. died at a hospital late Wednesday, police said Thursday.
The woman, who was not identified, was found at 7:15 p.m. after police received a report about a shooting, said police spokesman Larry Hill. She was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she died a short time later.
Police arrested 24-year-old Johnathan Nixon of the 800 block of Johnson Ave. He was charged with murder and use of a firearm, Hill said.
