Anna Gay Goodman, 88, of the 800 block of Carolyn Drive, a retired sales clerk, died Feb. 2, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mrs. Goodman was born in Glade Springs, Va. She retired from Altschul's, was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and the widow of Fred Goodman.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Gregory of Chesapeake; two sons, Jimmy R. Goodman of Hampton, Va., and Fred Goodman, Jr., of Centreville, Va.; a sister, Elizabeth Knight of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Fred W. Dority and Douglas Dority, both of Roanoke, Va.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Willis Switzer. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday and at 824 Carolyn Drive all other times. Contributions should be made to the Alzheimer's Assocation, Hampton Roads Chapter, 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
