HORACE L. STALLINGS SR.

Horace Lee Stallings Sr., 75, of Rt. 1, died Friday, February 3, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Stallings was born in Perquimans County. A retired farmer, he was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church and was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was the husband of the late Doris Hobbs Stallings.

Survivors include one daughter, Marcia Motsinger of West End, N.C.; one son, Horace Lee Stallings Jr. of Belvidere; his mother, Cora Rountree Stallings of Belvidere; two sisters, Priscilla Davis of Elizabeth City and Flay Dail of Hertford; two brothers, Lewis Stallings and Garland Stallings, both of Belvidere; four grandchildren, Carla Aline Stallings, Marcus Ryan Stallings, Jessica Megan Motsinger, and Ashley Margaret Motsinger.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Sandy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Hewitt. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
