Helen P. Corner, 84, of the 2700 block of Harrell Ave., died Feb. 3, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Corner was born in Warren County, N.C. She retired from the Norfolk newspapers after 21 years and was head cashier at Smith & Welton credit office for many years. She was a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, and the widow of Frank B. Corner, Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Frank B. Corner, Jr. and wife Joan Corner and Ronald A. Corner, both of Norfolk; a sister and her husband, Alice A. Hodges and Lewis K. Hodges of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Terri C. Asby of Redwood, N.Y., Bradley Corner of Richmond, Va., and Kellie Corner of Chesapeake; two great-grandchildren, Sharon Asby of Redwood, N.Y., and Megan Corner of Texas; four nieces, Jackie Kemp, Priscilla Reynolds, Joyce Ann Simpson and Alice H. Smith; one nephew, Charles D. Andrews of Warrenton, N.C.; and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Andrews of Warrenton, N.C., and Vera Corner of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Miles. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
