Mrs. Evelyn G. Ferguson, 67, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died Sat., Feb. 4, 1995, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. She was the widow of R. H. Ferguson, Jr. and daughter of the late Richard P. & Mary Rebecca Ferguson Gray. She had retired as a school bus driver and teacher's aide for Southampton County public schools. She was a member and sang in the choir of Newsoms Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Roy H. Ferguson, III, two daughters, Nancy F. Bodmer, Woodbridge and Gail T. Ferguson, San Diego, CA, a sister, Edith G. Forrest, Courtland and two grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms on Monday, Feb. 6, 1995 at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. The family will be at the residence, 22154 Old Chapel Road, Newsoms. Memorial donations may be made to the Boykins Vol. Rescue Squad. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, is handling arrangements.
