Aaron Gallop Sr., 74, of the 200 block of Gale Ave., a retired equipment cleaner, died Feb. 2, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mr. Gallop was born in Norfolk County. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, was a member and deacon of Faith Temple of the Everlasting Saints Church and was the widower of Virginia J. Gallop.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha G. Ricks and M.P. Gallop-Henry and a son, Aaron Gallop Jr., all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Leomia Best of Portsmouth and Lillie M. Johnson of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sons-in-law, Robert L. Ricks and R.M. Henry Jr.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Faith Temple of the Everlasting Saints Church, Chesapeake, by Bishop Jaunelle Johnson. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Monday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
