ACQUISITIONS

Crosshair Corp., Brian V. Camden, president, has acquired the Off the Top hair salon on DeBree Avenue in Norfolk. The salon will operate under the name of Mary Hume's of Ghent. Mary Hume Hickerson is the general manager.

Office Technology in Virginia Beach has acquired the operations of Action Business in Norfolk. The retail will operate as Office Technology.

CONTRACTS

T.A. Sheets Mechanical General Contractors received a $2.7 million contract from the Navy for fuel storage tank replacement at the Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach.

Reid Associates Inc. in Virginia Beach received a $2.7 million contract from the Navy Station in Norfolk to replace tanks and feedwater pumps.

CONTRACTS

T.A. Sheets Mechanical General Contractors received a $2.7 million contract from the Navy for fuel storage tank replacement at the Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach.

APAC-VA Inc. in Portsmouth received a $997,835 contract from the city of Virginia Beach for construction of Indian Lakes Boulevard, Phase I.

Tidewater Construction Corp. in Norfolk received a $1.3 million contract from the Navy for fender system and concrete repairs for berths 1-12 at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.

Westar Enironmental in Norfolk received a $521,863 contract from the Navy for FY94 SPCC/UST implementation at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown.

Higgerson-Buchanan Inc. in Chesapeake received a $3.1 million contract from the Virginia Port Authority for north expansion, Phase II, Part I surcharge and access roads at the Norfolk International Terminals.

Bankruptcies filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Norfolk:

Wash Allen III, financial services, filed chapter 13 debt repayment plan on Jan. 25, with assets of $62,080.72 and liabilities of $60,621.22.

Edna Kathlene Richmond, graphic designer, filed chapter 7 liquidation on Jan. 26, with assets of $3,599.50 and liabilities of $24,354.62.
