CHARLES M. STOUT

Charles M. Stout, 65, of the 600 block of Cardamon Drive, died Feb. 2, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Stout was born in Morristown, N.J. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service as chief yeoman. He operated Charles Stout Associates, was past president of Lake Taylor Lions Club, Masonic Lodge 1 of Norfolk, Sons of the Union Veterans, member of the Korean War Veteran, first president of the Hampton Roads Admirals Booster Club and the Fleet Reserve Association.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Smith Stout; three daughters, Terry Stout Gleason of Newport News, Kathleen Harris of Virginia Beach and Holly Ann Patterson of Cottageville, S.C.; a sister, Ruth Novack of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, David Stout of Madison, N.J.; his parents, Victor C. and Kathleen M. Stout of Madison, N.J., and three grandchildren.

Masonic rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hampton National Cemetery with funeral services to follow by Father Godderz of St. Brides Episcopal Church of Chesapeake. Donations can be made to St. Brides Episcopal Church or the Norfolk SPCA. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
