Nettie Levy Smiley, 93, a former buyer and floor manager of Rices Department store, died Feb. 5, 1995, at Beth Sholom Home.
Mrs. Smiley was a native of Norfolk. She was the widow of Abraham Smiley and was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk.
Survivors include six nephews, Robert Stainberg of Virginia Beach, Alan Nordlinger and Perry Kan, both of Norfolk and Richard Sweet of Charlotte, N.C., Burton Kan of Chicago, Ill., and Harlan Kan of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two nieces, Nancy Nusbaum of Virginia Beach and Mickey Tapper of Baltimore, Md.
A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 1995, in the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk.
