Howard Ellsworth Bane, 81, of the 6600 block of Pinewood Court, died Feb. 6, 1995 in his residence.
Mr. Bane was born in Clarksburg, W.Va. and was a retired foreman after 35 years of service for International Nickel Co. He was a member of Westwood Hills Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond A. Watts.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia E. Bane; one daughter, Judy A. Bane of Virginia Beach; one daughter-in-law, Joretta Watts of Virginia Beach; one brother, Joseph Bane of Hampton, Va.; five grandchildren, Joretta L. Slack of Virginia Beach, Rae Spruill of San Diego, Ca., Raymond Watts Jr. of San Marcos, Texas, Elizabeth Markert of Annapolis, Md., and Susan Watts of Virginia Beach; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 9, 1995 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Jess Jackson in Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel on Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or building fund of Westwood Hills Baptist Church.
