ALEXANDER C. COX JR.

Alexander C. ``Cleve'' Cox Jr., 81, a retired superintendent, died Feb. 5, 1995, in his home.

Mr. Cox was born in Norfolk. He retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility and was a member of Colonial Avenue United Methodist Church and Owens Masonic Lodge (NU)164.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia H. Cox; two daughters, Patricia Cox Bacon of Norfolk and Linda Cox Stone of Richmond; a sister, Madeline C. Watkins of Culpeper, Va.; and a brother, Norman T. Cox of Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren, Charlene G. Hershberger of Virginia Beach and Kimberly L. Stone and Christine M. Stone, both of Richmond.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
