To increase awareness of National Child Passenger Safety Week, the Concerned Citizens Advocating Traffic Safety Inc. will offer free checks of child safety seats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 18 at locations throughout Hampton Roads.
The seats will be inspected, and parents will be shown how to install them properly.
The checks will be at these locations: Suffolk, Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad; Norfolk, Fire Station No. 4, 5900 block of Poplar Hall Drive; Virginia Beach, all fire stations; Eastern Shore, Painter Volunteer Fire Company; Chesapeake, Greenbrier Fire Station No. 14; Portsmouth, Fire Station No. 7, 3900 block of Winchester Drive; Franklin, Franklin Fire and Rescue; Smithfield, Isle of Wight Rescue Squad. by CNB
