Andrew J. "Pete" Fiel Jr., 73, of the 1900 block of Redgate Dr., died Feb. 7, 1995 in a hospital.
Mr. Fiel, a native of Portsmouth, was a retired from the Little Creek Amphibious Base as a civil service firefighter after 33 years of service. He was a Army veteran of World War II and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Helen B. Fiel; a daughter, Barbara Fiel Harmon of Homestead, Fla.; three sons, Michael J. Fiel of Portsmouth, Patrick V. Fiel of West Point, N.Y., Randy A. Fiel of Chesapeake; two sisters, Violet F. Edquilang of Norfolk, Juanita F. Mallory of Choctaw, Okla.; five grandchildren, Chris Harmon, Patrick Fiel Jr., Melissa Fiel, Erica Fiel, and Rachael Fiel.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Foster Funeral Home by the Rev. James E. Dorson. Burial will be in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
