Marguerite Beale Kelly, 87, of the 5300 block of Marian Lane, died Feb. 6, 1995.
She was a native of Norfolk and was a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. During World War II, she was a Civil Defense Airplane Spotter. She also was a former volunteer for Virginia Beach General Hospital and was a former member of Kempsville Meadows Ladies Golf Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Susanne Dandridge Kelly of Richmond; one son, J. Terry Kelly and wife, Jane G. Kelly, of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Terry Kelly, Matthew Kelly, and Michael Kelly; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick Kelly, Michael Kelly, and Sean Kelly; and one niece and several nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park by Father James Parke. Smith and Williams Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the son's home of 5349 Academy Road, Virginia Beach, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
