MARY E. WINSTEAD

Mary Elizabeth ``Big Mama'' Winstead, 87, of the 500 block of Crabtree Lane, died Feb. 5 1995, in Virginia Beach.

Mrs. Winstead was born in Wilmington, N.C. She was the widow of Delmas A. Winstead. She grew up and lived in Norfolk where she was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church. In 1972, she and her husband moved to Thalia, where she was a member of Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Ruth Ann Winstead Hile and Timothy J. Hile of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Jason A. ``SKEEZIX'' Hile of Virginia Beach; and her squirrels and birds she so loved.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. James R.M. Young. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements. A memorial service will be held today at 7:30 p.m. in Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations may be made to Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church. A reception will be held after the services at 548 Crabtree Lane.
