CORA B. SAVIDGE

Cora Bertha Savidge, 74, of the 500 block of Broad St., died Feb. 7, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

She was a native of Pennsylvania and a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, Portsmouth. She retired as owner/operator of The New York Store after 42 years and was the widow of George W. Savidge.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy S. Jackson of Portsmouth and Judy S. Ermlick of Charleroi, Pa.; a son, George M. Savidge of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; five sisters, Dora Jones of Woodland, Calif., Eva Brown of Bethel, Pa., Carrie Carnathan and Edna Walmer, both of Jonestown, Pa., and Margaret Walmer of Annville, Pa.; five grandchildren, Morgan Savidge, Brett Jackson, Craig Jackson, Richard Ermlick and Kim Ermlick; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Broad Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kathryn Pigg. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Walmer Church Cemetery, Indian Town Gap, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations to Broad Street United Methodist Church. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
