ROBERT R. ORTH

Robert Roland Orth, 81, died February 6, 1995, at his residence.

Mr. Orth was born in Baltimore, Md., and was a typographer. He was a past member of Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department, a member and a former warden of St. Andrews By The Sea Episcopal Church, the American Philatelist Society and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Orth was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Orth and Hannah Stieff Orth and was the husband of Virginia Hinkle Orth of the home.

Mr. Orth was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lou Hepworth. Besides his wife, he is survived by two grandchildren, William Wallace Hepworth of Meriden, Warwickshire, England, and Mary Harris (Molly) McWaters of Sarasota, Fla.; one niece Mrs. Neale Colder of Ellicott City, Md.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 1995, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrews By The Sea Episcopal Church by Father Charles Gill. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Andrews By The Sea Episcopal Church. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements.
