Hundreds of items of Norfolk Southern's steam excursion equipment will be sold at an auction Feb. 28 in Irondale, northeast of Birmingham, Ala. Blackmon Auctions Inc. of Little Rock, Ark., will conduct the auction to liquidate Norfolk Southern's steam division. Up for sale will be eight passenger coaches, at least 15 cabooses, 10 motor cars, a tool car, four water cars, two derrick cars, a 30-ton overhead crane and more than 25 shop carts. Newport News-based nView Corp. announced that it has formed a new business unit to market standard and customized electro-optic components to other equipment manufacturers using liquid crystal displays to create electronic images. In making the announcement, nView also said it has signed agreements under which Milgray Electronics Inc. will market electro-optic components and custom design services for the new business unit. nView's new business unit will operate as a division of nView Corp. under the name, NEO Systems.
