REMEMBER WHEN?

ILLUSTRATION: File photo by ERIC THINGSTAD

It was May 12, 1990 when Wilson's Shander Gary, center, and Manor's

Dayna Williams, right, tied for first place in the girls 100-meter

hurdles in the Southeastern District track. Alisa Curtis of Great

Bridge was third. Gary won four other events: the high jump, long

jump, triple jump and 300-meter hurdles. Gary also was an

outstanding basketball player at Wilson and is currently the leading

scorer in women's college basketball with a 30-point average at Lynn

University in Boca Raton, Fla.
