MRS. JULIA M. WHITE

Mrs. Julia M. White of the 2900 block of Hollister Ave., and was the wife of the late Hiram White, departed life on February 8, 1995.

She joined Jerusalem Baptist Church at a very early age. She was very active in church organizations. She was a faithful member of the missionaries and deaconess board. She also was involved in many programs within the church.

Survivors include six sons, Rev. Hiram White, Jr., Wayland White, Maurice White of Norfolk, Rev. Eugene White, Albert White and Rev. Stephen White of Chesapeake, three daughters, Gilda White Cherry of Norfolk, Gloria White Hill of Va. Beach and Gail White Steele of Trenton, New Jersey. A brother Hoxey Booker of Roselle, New Jersey, 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.;

The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 718 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk by Dr. Thomas M. Venable. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in church at 11:00 Saturday morning. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
