It is difficult to develop a ``best'' position on Governor Allen's proposed budget and its tax cuts. The media, print and broadcast, present slanted pro or con arguments. However, there is an overriding need which should be clear to all voters: the need to stop the ever-increasing size and expense of government. Our commonwealth's government expense exceeded by a large margin the pace of inflation, population and per-capita income during the 1980s. A lot of adjustment is necessary to correct this.
My vote is in favor of Governor Allen's proposed budget.
