Joyce Hansen Hess, 58, of the 1800 block of Garden Drive, a homemaker, died Feb. 10, 1995, in the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Mrs. Hess was born in Primghar, Iowa. She was a member of Little Creek Christian Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel L. Hess; three sons, Jerry L. Hess, George L. Hess and Dennis L. Hess, all of Virginia Beach; her mother, Evelyn McKee Hansen of Omaha, Neb.; and a sister, Jean Danser of Franklinville, N.Y.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Terry E. Jackson. Friends may join the family Sunday, Feb. 12, at Maestas Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. A family visitation will take place Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at Houseman Funeral Home in Medina, N.Y. A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. in West Shelby Cemetery, Medina, N.Y.
