BAR RECOMMENDS 2: The Chesapeake Bar Association is recommending two members to become the city's newest judges.
For General District Court, the association recommends Bernard Goodwyn, 33, a partner in the Norfolk firm of Willcox & Savage and a visiting professor at the University of Virginia law school. The judgeship will come open July 1 when Judge V. Thomas Forehand Jr. is elevated to Circuit Court.
For Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, the association recommends Timothy S. Wright, a partner in the Chesapeake firm of Basnight, Jones, Wright, Kinser & Telfeyan. This is a new judgeship that probably will be created by the General Assembly this month.
The legislature will make all judgeship appointments in the next two weeks.
