Joseph Britt Sr., of the 5600 block of Paca Lane, died Feb. 9, 1995.
Mr. Britt was born in Rich Square, N.C. He was a member of New Saint John A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Britt; three daughters, Hattie Britt, Shirley Wright and Betty Armstrong; and three sons, James L. Britt, Joseph Britt Jr., and Herman L. Britt, all of Virginia Beach; a brother, Herman Britt of Newark, N.J.; a half brother, Joe L. Britt of Norfolk; 42 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Saint John A.M.E. Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. E.H. Terrell Jr. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
