Merian Conner Sawyer, 52, died Feb. 11, 1995 at her residence.
She was a native of Windsor, N.C. and was a homemaker and a member of Greens Cross Baptist Church, Windsor. She taught art through College of the Albermarle and was a local artist. She was the daughter of Mrs. Bernice Williams Conner of Buxton and the late Mr. John Frank Conner Sr., and was the wife of William H. ``Bill'' Sawyer of the home.
She is also survived by one daughter, Marsha Lynn Sawyer of Asheville, N.C.; and one brother, John Frank Conner Jr., of Buxton.
A memorial service will be held at the Buxton United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dare County Cancer Society and the Buxton Emergency Medical Services. Twiford's Island Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
