Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:
NORFOLK
Charles E. Puckett, 33, who is also known as ``Chuck,'' is wanted for a third larceny charge, a felony.
The latest incident occurred on Dec. 29 in the 700 block of West 21st St.
Puckett is described as white, 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He has no known address and may be driving a white pickup with Florida license plates.
Jonathan S. Moyler, 22, is wanted for robbery and use of a firearm while committing a felony.
The crime occurred on Jan. 12 in the 3200 block of Chesapeake Blvd.
Moyler is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 160 pounds.
He frequents the Lafayette Boulevard and Ballentine sections of Norfolk.
Other warrants are also on file against Moyler and he is considered armed and dangerous.
Norfolk Crime Line callers received a total of $34,900 in awards in 1994.
Those calls helped recover $13,800 in stolen goods and almost $1 million in narcotics.
Since 1981, almost 4,000 cases have been solved and more than $4 million dollars of stolen property and narcotics have been recovered.
In those years, Crime Line has paid almost $300,000 in cash rewards that led to the arrest of more than 1,500 suspects.
VIRGINIA BEACH
On Saturday, Jan. 7, at 9:30 a.m., a man walked into the Virginia Beach Schools Federal Credit Union at 4221 Pleasant Valley Road.
He climbed over the counter and removed money from a cash drawer. The man then fled.
The suspect is described as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 225 pounds.
He was wearing a dark blue, Georgetown, hooded sweatshirt, black high-top Nike tennis shoes and some type of cloth hanging in front of his face.
CHESAPEAKE
On Sept. 16, about 3:30 a.m., Robert Brown was found shot to death on a playground on Cascade Blvd.
Police have witnesses who saw Brown get into a vehicle with a female driver and several black male occupants on Vernon Drive in Norfolk.
Detectives have information that indicates Robert knew his killers.
PORTSMOUTH
On Dec. 28, about 9 p.m., Timothy D. Shine was gunned down in a parking lot at 3762 Townpoint Road.
The victim was shot several times and witnesses said they saw two black men run from the scene.
Police are still searching for suspects and a motive for the shooting.
HAMPTON
On Feb. 3, about 1:45 p.m., two subjects used trickery to gain entry to a home in the 800 block of Big Bethel Road.
Once inside, the subjects assaulted the victims and robbed them of jewelry, cash and a car.
The vehicle, a 1987 maroon-over-white, four-door Mercury Marquis, was recovered the following day at the rear of the Rack 'n' Sack located in the 4000 block of W. Mercury Blvd.
One suspect is described as white, in his late teens to mid 20s, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 pounds with a medium build, short dark hair, a fair complexion and a mustache. The second suspect is a male of similar height, weight and build. ILLUSTRATION: Photos
