When President Clinton called for a national effort to prevent teenage pregnancies, during his State of the Union address, he received a standing ovation from both sides of the aisle. This enthusiastic bipartisan ovation clearly underscores a growing national awareness of the need to deal with this crisis.
Planned Parenthood is an organization dedicated to the cause of preventing teenage pregnancies. Lately, there seems to be a public misunderstanding of the goals of Planned Parenthood. It is a little-known fact that 97 percent of the organization's resources go into educational efforts specifically aimed at reducing unwanted pregnancies. Planned Parenthood has long been on the front line in a battle that is vital to America's future.
