DORIS C. INSLEY

Delma Doris Credle Insley, 67, of 12 Phelps Place, died Saturday night, Feb. 11, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.

She had lived in Portsmouth for many years and was born in Hyde County, N.C., on Aug. 1, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Macon Tooley and Hilda Carawan Credle. She was a longtime member of Swan Quarter Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Tooley Credle.

Surviving are her husband, Howard Clark Insley; two daughters, Linda Slogen of Newport News and Tonya Hobbs of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the family plot in Soule Cemetery, Swan Quarter at an hour to be announced. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherlin Carawan, Route 1, Swan Quarter. Arrangements by Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
