WAYNE G. OAKES

Wayne George Oakes, 48, of the 900 block of Levee Lane, died Feb. 13, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Oakes was born in Hazleton, Pa. and was a mechanical engineering technician for N.N.S.Y. He also worked for Buchanan Auto Auction. He was a member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge No. 898.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Mullaney. He was the most beloved father of Kathleen Ann Oakes and Jonathan Wayne Oakes, both of Chesapeake. He is also survived by his mother, Helen Demko of Conyngham, Pa.

The memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1995, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Joseph Savinsky in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Chesapeake Health Department, Attention The Resource Mothers Program.
