MORRIS A. LANGSTON SR.

Morris A. Langston Sr., of the 800 block of Jefferson St., a retired stockman, died Feb. 10, 1995, in the Hampton Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Mr. Langston was born in Norfolk County and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center after 38 years. He was a member, former chairman of the Trustee Board and former member of the Male Usher Board of Mount Hermon Baptist Temple. He was a charter member of Epsilon Nu Lambda Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity; member of Doric Lodge (NU)98, Order of Masons; member and past commander of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter (NU)27; and member of Trench Night Rats (NU)185; and Olympian Sports Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Neva C. Langston; a daughter, Sophronia L. Gallop of Milford, Conn.; two sons, M. Alexander Langston Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C. and Crafton E. Langston of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, a sister-in-law, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Hermon Baptist Temple by Dr. I.S. Waters. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home, where fraternal services will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at noon Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Center for Patient Comfort Items, Hampton, Va.
