Lois Hobbs Darden, 64, of the 600 block of Mount Vernon Ave., died Feb. 14, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Darden was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of William J. Darden. She was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Sheila Darden of Portsmouth, Sharon Gedville of Hampton, Myrtice Bachewicz of Charleston, S.C., and Donna Moore of Joshus, Texas; four sons, William E. Darden of Hinesville, Ga., Garland Darden of Richmond, Va., and James Darden and Jeffery Darden, both of Portsmouth; three sisters, Rose Harris of Portsmouth, Alice Parrish of Richmond and Ellen Simpson of New Bern, N.C.; two brothers, Sonny Hobbs and Ray Hobbs, both of Portsmouth; and 14 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Ector Hamrick. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
