Detective R.L. Ross seeks help to find the person who robbed Lawrence Grocery, Market and Pine streets.
The suspect entered the store and pointed a gun at the clerk. He demanded, ``Give it up,'' indicating he wanted the money. The clerk handed the thief currency from behind the counter, and the suspect left, running south on Pine Street.
The suspect was described as a black male with dark complexion, 5-feet-5inches tall, weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a green field jacket with a hood, black pants and a ski mask with large holes for the eyes and nose. This is the third robbery of this nature in a short period, and they may be related.
Detective D.J. Green also asks help to find the person responsible for several grand larcenies and vandalism at Suffolk Alignment in the 300 block of Carolina Road. It has been the victim of a number of larcenies from vehicles.
