Sarah Elizabeth Bunch Pearce, 87, of 200 W. Constance Road, died Feb. 14, 1995.
A native of Chowan County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late William E. and Martha Elizabeth Saunders Bunch and the widow of Edgar L. Pearce, Sr. Mrs. Pearce was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, Edenton, N.C., The Womens Mission Union and the Beech Fork Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Audrey P. Byrum of Suffolk, Anne P. Crenshaw of Gaithersburg, Md.; a son, Edgar Linwood Pearce, Jr., of Potomac, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Louise Hollowell of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the Rocky Hock Baptist Church by the Rev. Meredith Garrett and the Rev. Donald Wagner. Burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edenton, N.C. The family will receive friends in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Rocky Hock Rescue Squad or the Rocky Hock Baptist Church Building Fund. Both are on Route 3, Edenton, N.C., 27932.
