Garland Gladden, 64, formerly of Birdsnest, Va., died Feb. 14, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Gladden was retired as manager of Suburban Propane in Wilmington, N.C., was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church and son of the late Russell and Carrie Downing Gladden.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Ewell Gladden; a daughter, Susan Daniel of Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Chris Gladden of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Carolyn G. Harrison of Belle Haven, Va., and Rosebel G. Miller of Melfa, Va.; a brother, Robert Gladden of Marionville, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Wilmington, N.C. Cable-Ward-Smith Funeral Home, Wilmington, N.C., is handling arrangements.
