Elizabeth Barnett Joyce, of the 5100 block of E. Princess Anne Road, died Feb. 15, 1995 in her residence.
Mrs. Joyce was born in Norfolk. She was retired from civil service and was a member of Ferebee-Halstead Memorial United Methodist Church, Virginia Mayflower Society, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Inc. and AARP.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Joyce; two stepdaughters, Rena J. Lemmond of Norfolk and Lorraine Bagshaw of Wilton, N.Y.; a sister, Eleanor ``Billie'' Lanford of Charlottesville, Va.; two granddaughters, Rita Gay Honeycutt of Newport News and Melinda Biven of Chesapeake; a niece, Ms. Eleanor Mills of Charlottesville, Va.; and two nephews, Dr. Randy Lanford of Charlottesville and Robert A. Lanford of Richmond, Va.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and requests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Woodland Heights Baptist Church-Building Fund, 539 Providence Rd., Chesapeake, Va. 23325.
