Henry Barringer, of the 3400 block of Pamlico Circle, a retired longshoreman, died Feb. 12, 1995 in a local hospital.
Mr. Barringer was born in Mt. Gilead, N.C. He retired from ILA Local 1248 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Barringer; a daughter, Henrietta Hawkins of Norfolk; a sister, Sallie Butler of Mt. Gilead, N.C.; four brothers, David Barringer, Dennis B. Barringer, Clay Barringer and Edward Barringer; four grandchildren, Denise Hawkins, Angela Hawkins, Michael Hawkins and Tom Hawkins; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and two great-grandchildren, Jaketa and Lemyron Hawkins.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Graves Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
